Beebe, AR – A kidnapped woman was found bound and gagged inside an alleged drug dealer’s motel room Oct. 19 after he was taken down by a police K9.
The 41-year-old felon, Donald Dwayne Kirkland, had warrants out for his arrest for parole violation, possession of meth or cocaine with purpose to deliver less than two grams, possession of a firearm by certain persons, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, failure to pay fine, possession of drug paraphernalia and out-of-town warrant/assist, The Daily Citizen reported.
Investigators at the White County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said they tracked Kirkland to an unnamed Beebe motel at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 and began surveilling the property using unmarked vehicles.
“The male subject in the room was known to deputies and known to have felony warrants,” WCSO Public Information Officer Lieutenant Scott Seiders told The Daily Citizen. “During this period of surveillance … deputies requested the assistance of Beebe police officers, including a K-9, and entry tools from another deputy.”
Deputies were given permission to forcibly enter the room to arrest Kirkland on the condition they confirm he was present inside before making any breach, Lt. Seiders said.
As the deputies were surveilling the room to confirm Kirkland’s presence inside, a vehicle drove up to his room and parked outside, according to investigators.
“The suspect opened and looked out the door at the waiting car,” Lt. Seiders told The Daily Citizen. “Moments later, the suspect ran out of the motel toward the car carrying several bags.”
WCSO deputies and Beebe Police Department (BPD) officers immediately descended on the wanted fugitive.BPD K9 Rudy was deployed to assist in the apprehension and quickly “took the suspect down and held him,” Lt. Seiders told The Daily Citizen. As Kirkland was being taken into custody, the officers heard someone yelling inside the suspect’s motel […]
They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
