Staunch abortion supporter Whoopi Goldberg appeared to refer to preborn children as “toxic things” on a recent podcast with former CNN journalist Chris Cuomo.
The pair were discussing the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade , with Goldberg striking back at people who criticized her pro-abortion advocacy. “People make their decisions about why they hate your guts. People hate my guts – they say, ‘You’re always talking about the negative aspect of stuff,’” she said. “Well you know, I think it is negative that you changed a law that’s 50 years old that you didn’t do enough homework about to see what the consequences were gonna be for women — not Black women, or Asian women or Hispanic women, just women in general. You changed the law without even saying, without even having the information of what that means for someone who has a difficulty in the pregnancy that requires that they not keep this toxic thing in.” (emphasis added)
She continued, “And you think because there’s a heartbeat — you think there’s a heartbeat — you’re not thinking about, is the child viable? Does this child have a brain, and hands, and arms? You’re not thinking about any of that.” Of course, preborn children do have hearts (formed 22 days after fertilization) and brains (the brain is the first organ to appear , between weeks two and three after fertilization), and limbs (beginning to form in weeks five and six) — and these are human beings, not “toxic things.” Even those who, as Goldberg mentions, have disabilities — like limb differences — those who may not have hands or arms — have the inherent right to life. If Goldberg was referring to situations in pregnancy where a mother’s life may be at risk, the fact is that overturning Roe […]
They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
