Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee / PHOTO: AP ( Chris Parker , Headline USA ) A recent report published by columnist Matt Walsh has led Republican Tennessee Governor Bill Lee to launch an investigation into the ivory-league Vanderbilt University’s operations, reported The Daily Wire.
Specifically, Lee’s office is investigating Vanderbilt’s Pediatric Transgender Clinic after Walsh released alarming footage and details. The clinic has been administering transgender procedures on minors and has threatened staff who speak out against it.
Walsh reported that several doctors and other medical professionals at the prestigious university were threatened with “consequences” if they spoke against transgender procedures on children , even if they claimed religious grounds.
Those procedures include chemical castration. Walsh tweeted that VUMC employees “now castrate, sterilize, and mutilate minors as well as adults.”
According to Vanderbilt health law expert Ellen Wright Clayton, those people “probably shouldn’t be working at VUMC if they don’t want to participate in the trans surgeries, which include minor patients.”
“If you are going to assert conscientious objection, you have to realize that that is problematic,” Clayton said. “You are doing something to another person, and you are not paying the cost for your belief. I think that is a … real issue.”
During Walsh’s report, VUMC doctor Dr. Shayne Sebold Taylor admitted, “These surgeries are labor intensive, they require a lot of follow-ups, they require a lot of our time, and they make money. They make money for the hospital.”
He also discovered that Vanderbilt Psychiatry YouTube channel explains that its facility “explicitly [admits] that they will give and have given irreversible hormone drugs to children as young as 13.”“The ‘pediatric transgender clinic’ at Vanderbilt University Medical Center raises serious moral, ethical and legal concerns,” Lee said in a statement to The Daily Wire.“We should not allow permanent, life-altering decisions that hurt children or policies […]
They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
