"Roger Waters Us + Them" Red Carpet Arrivals – The 76th Venice Film Festival Pink Floyd rocker Roger Waters unloaded on President Joe Biden during a Saturday interview on CNN, accusing the Democratic president of “fueling the fire” in Ukraine and claiming that the United States had “no role as liberators” when it came to the Eastern European nation’s war against neighboring Russia.
The aging British rocker spoke with CNN anchor Michael Smerconish about his willingness to continue to engage in political discussions from the stage while on tour — and in addition to calling out President Biden, he suggested that the United States was “lucky” the Russians had already crippled Nazi Germany before American troops arrived during World War II.

— Virginia Kruta (@VAKruta) August 8, 2022 Smerconish noted that Waters has actually increased his political commentary while on tour — going so far as to announce at the beginning of a show that anyone who loved Pink Floyd but hated Waters’ politics could “f*** off to the bar right now” — and included a photo of the Democratic president among others he considered to be war criminals.
“Well, [Biden] is fueling the fire in Ukraine for a start. That’s a huge crime,” Waters explained. “Why won’t the United States of America encourage Zelensky, the president, to negotiate; obviating the need for this horrific, horrendous war?”

They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
