Rep. Jim Jordan warned anew that should Republicans win back control of the House, there will be investigations into Dr. Anthony Fauci, the long-serving head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
In particular, the Ohio Republican said that the GOP-controlled House will look into whether Fauci worked behind the scenes to downplay or undermine the theory that the COVID-19 virus may have leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, The Epoch Times reported .
In January, GOP lawmakers unveiled a conference call that included Fauci along with his then-boss, former National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, as well as other scientists who were in consultation with the Biden administration in which they talked about the pandemic’s origins.
Fauci also serves as President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser.
Fox News added in January:
Republican leaders on the House Oversight and Judiciary committees released excerpts of emails Tuesday that they say reveal National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Director Dr. Anthony Fauci knew that COVID-19 may have been intentionally modified and leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
In a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Reps. James Comer, R-Ky., and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, pointed to a Feb. 1, 2020, conference call that included Fauci and former National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins in which the virus’s origins were discussed.
“It was on this conference call that Drs. Fauci and Collins were first warned that COVID-19 may have leaked from the [Wuhan lab] and, further, may have been intentionally genetically manipulated,” the Republicans’ letter said at the time, adding: “It is unclear if either Dr. Fauci or Dr. Collins ever passed these warnings along to other government officials or if they simply ignored them.”Jordan on Monday told the Washington Examiner that Republicans would […]
They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We just launched a GiveSendGo page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
