An Australian man put his boxing skills to the test against an unusual opponent, an “aggressive” kangaroo that was trying to attack his beloved dogs.
Cliff Dess, a grandfather who is a former MMA trainer, told 9 News Australia about his encounter with what he called a “six-foot mad roo,” that he wrestled to the ground at one point after it was threatening his dogs.
“Can’t stand up and fight it because it had too many sharp instruments,” Dess told the outlet, recounting how he was “whacking” the animal with a stick to “keep it at bay.” (Video: 9 News Australia)
With his fenced dogs barking away, the 59-year-old went at it with the feisty roo but admitted that it wasn’t an easy battle with the animal being “in an aggressive mood.”
Recounting how “he put his claws up and started chasing me,” Dess said ultimately, “I fought it off with a stick,” and “took it to the ground,” since that was “the only way I could deal with it.”
In the six-minute brawl, the former boxer said the animal bit his finger and “gouged me on the top of the head.”
The kangaroo apparently did not sustain any injuries, though Dess said it continued to try to get at his dogs for another 20 minutes afterward. They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
