Tens of thousands of pro-lifers marched with joy and enthusiasm Saturday in San Francisco amid hopes that Roe v. Wade could be overturned this year.
The 2022 Walk for Life drew approximately 20,000 pro-lifers to downtown San Francisco, including many young people, organizer Eva Muntean told the National Catholic Register .
Thomas Aquinas College junior Sophia Ferri, of Nashville, Tennessee, was one of them. She said she hopes the joy and love shared by the marchers will help people recognize the value of unborn babies.
“We live in a democratic republic, and I believe a public demonstration of our beliefs is important to change minds and hearts,” Ferri told the Register. “We want to say that life begins at conception, and no matter who you are, your life matters, and you are a beloved child of God.”
Although a few pro-abortion protesters showed up to counter-protest, the Walk for Life was peaceful, and city police were present to keep pro-lifers safe, according to the report.

As they marched, pro-lifers chanted together, “Pro-choice? That’s a lie, babies don’t deserve to die!” and “We are the pro-life generation!”, The Mercury News reports .
“It was a joyous day and a wonderful experience,” said Stephen Morris, director of youth ministry for the Diocese of Santa Rosa. “It was beautiful to hear the singing and see the camaraderie.”During the rally before the walk, many pro-life leaders spoke with hope about the possibility that the U.S. Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade this year and allow states to protect unborn babies from abortion again. The high court heard a major abortion case out of Mississippi in December, and a ruling is expected in June.“I believe Roe v. Wade has been outlawed, because God remembers you,” […]
They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
