Megachurch Pastor Jamal Bryant, who also serves as the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, says he is “outraged” at how President Joe Biden’s administration has handled the border crisis with Haitian migrants.
In recent weeks, more than 15,000 Haitian migrants have illegally crossed the Rio Grande River from Mexico into Del Rio, Texas. The influx of migrants has created problems for U.S. Border Patrol, and recent images taken at the border show agents trying to keep migrants from entering the U.S.
“I’m beyond outraged at #america treatment of #haiti refugees. @joebiden must address this affront against humanity. I’m calling on @congressionalblackcaucus to go inspect this camp immediately! The faith community must lift its voice!” Pastor Bryant wrote in a Facebook post published Tuesday. Brandon Judd, the head of the National Border Patrol Council, said he believes that some of the migrants living under the International Bridge in Del Rio are being treated “inhumanely.”
“You tell me, does this look like it’s humane right here?” he added. “This looks like a warzone refugee camp. That’s what this looks like. And if anybody says that this is humane, I would love for them to come and explain to me how this, right here, is humane.”
According to The Christian Post , the number of migrants at the border in Del Rio is about 15,000. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has begun repatriating some of those people.
“We have reiterated that our borders are not open, and people should not make the dangerous journey,” said Marsha Espinosa, assistant secretary for public affairs for the Department of Homeland Security.
Another official told Reuters that 4,000 migrants have been taken to detention centers, and more than 500 have been deported back to Haiti.

About a month ago, the U.S. Department of State issued a do not travel advisory to Haiti “due to kidnapping, crime, civil unrest and COVID-19.” In July, the country’s president was assassinated.

They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
