Madison, WI – Black Lives Matter disrupted a law enforcement memorial ceremony in Madison honoring heroes killed in the line of duty in 2020 and 2021 by waving American flags that said “f—k 12” and blasting the song “F—k the Police” in the background as officials made remarks (video below).
The ceremony was held in Capitol Square near the law enforcement officers’ memorial on May 7 and attended by the immediate families of fallen heroes, members of law enforcement, and elected officials including Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, WKOW reported.
But just a few minutes after the memorial ceremony began, a small group of Black Lives Matter protesters began screaming obscenities through a megaphone and blasting anti-police music with obscene lyrics. Video of the event filmed by WISN showed the dignitaries on the dais making remarks tried to ignore the disruption but it became difficult to hear then over the small but loud protest.
When the speaker thanked the governor for attending, a protester yelled “we don’t like Governor Evers” through a megaphone.
Someone off camera approached the protesters and asked them to leave and a man in a blue and yellow jersey screamed that he wanted to know what law he was breaking.
“We have a right to protest!” someone else yelled. “Black Lives Matter!”
One of the protesters yelled at someone to keep their hands off his camera.
