It appears Rep. Liz Cheney will be officially demoted soon from a key GOP post in the U.S. House, which is punishment for voting to impeach Donald Trump, but her expected replacement is drawing scrutiny for a voting record that does not match her stated support for the former president.
A vote is expected Wednesday in the House Republican Conference, the little-publicized party caucus. Cheney has led the caucus since 2018, after she was first elected from Wyoming in 2016, but Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-New York), 36, is set to replace her in that job.
Speaking on the Todd Starnes Show, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Al) said he knows Stefanik (pictured above) and called her a very nice and intelligent congresswoman.
“And she’s about as far left as you can get in a Republican conference,” Brooks told the radio program.
“It’s a foregone conclusion Liz Cheney does not need to be in the ranks of leadership,” Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, told the radio show. “The question now is which way do Republicans go? Stefanik is not the direction.”
According to Heritage Action, Rep. Stefanik has a “Session Score” of 84% after the most recent session of Congress but she has accumulated a dismal “Lifetime Score” of 48% after serving four terms representing the 21st District.
It doesn’t help the congresswoman’s conservative credentials when a left-wing publication such as Time laments that she was recently a “widely respected moderate Republican known for her embrace of facts, her trust in science and her push to build a more diverse party…”

The Time article also points out that Stefanik belongs to the so-called Tuesday Group, a caucus of moderate Republicans.
Trump, however, was praising Rep. Stefanik as recently as Monday over the news she is expected to replace Rep. Cheney. She despised by the former president for her impeachment vote but the New York congresswoman emerged as a vocal Trump supporter during his four-year term. So political observers view Trump’s endorsement as a reward for loyalty.

We Often Feel Like David Taking on Giants
Today’s Goliath is the Mainstream Media Industrial Complex that brainwashes the masses.
Our mission is very straightforward: To counter the false narratives and nefarious agendas destroying America today. It isn’t easy for obvious reasons; despite incredible growth over the last year we are still a very tiny fish in a huge media pond. But we’re fighting and we will continue to do so, Lord willing, for as long as we possibly can. The battle for America’s present and future is too important for us to back down to the giants that stand in our way.
We need help. I don’t want to say “desperately,” but the need is definitely great. If you have the means, please donate through our GivingFuel page, PayPal, or our Substack page. Your generosity is what keeps these sites running and allows us to get the truth to the masses. We’ve had great success in growing but we know we can do more with your assistance.
Thank you, and God Bless!
