CNN host Don Lemon spoke out on Wednesday to recommend that white people read his new book “This Is the Fire: What I Say to My Friends About Racism” so that they can learn about “accountability and grace” after Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of the murder of George Floyd the day before.
Lemon said this while he responded to Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis having an image saying “I CAN BREATHE 4-20-21” tweeted out from the team’s official account. The tweet was in reference to Chauvin’s guilty verdict, and though it received some backlash online for being offensive, Lemon said it did not offend him.
“I think we need to give each other a little room to breathe and to be able to have these conversations. And so, if you have an issue with the owner saying that, take it up with the owner. Let the owner talk about it. Help him to understand that it may be offensive to some people,” Lemon said, defending Davis. “But I don’t want to castigate someone for at least trying to do the right thing, even if it may be done in ignorance. I don’t think it was harmful in any way.”
Lemon was then asked by his fellow host John Berman if he “can recommend to white people if they’re looking for ways” to talk about sensitive topics like the death of Floyd.

We Often Feel Like David Taking on Giants
Today’s Goliath is the Mainstream Media Industrial Complex that brainwashes the masses.
Our mission is very straightforward: To counter the false narratives and nefarious agendas destroying America today. It isn’t easy for obvious reasons; despite incredible growth over the last year we are still a very tiny fish in a huge media pond. But we’re fighting and we will continue to do so, Lord willing, for as long as we possibly can. The battle for America’s present and future is too important for us to back down to the giants that stand in our way.
We need help. I don’t want to say “desperately,” but the need is definitely great. If you have the means, please donate through our GivingFuel page, PayPal, or our Substack page. Your generosity is what keeps these sites running and allows us to get the truth to the masses. We’ve had great success in growing but we know we can do more with your assistance.
Thank you, and God Bless!
