In the chaos, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed and killed and another man in his 20s died after he was hit by a car while riding his scooter.
A family of four was struck by a vehicle and two of them are now in critical condition.
One police officer got hit in the eye by an exploding firework, causing him to be placed into an artificial coma at the hospital.
In total, 22 officers and seven firefighters were injured.
