On Wednesday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had some fun with folks in blue states who are continuing to wear masks after they have been vaccinated.
The Republican said during a press conference, “The crazy people are the ones that are vaccinated still wearing six masks.” . @GovRonDeSantis calls out the “crazy people” who put feelings over science by continuing to wear masks despite being fully vaccinated. pic.twitter.com/f6OmyKzAeN — MRCTV (@mrctv) May 28, 2021 Gov. DeSantis: ‘The Crazy People Are The Ones That Are Vaccinated, Still Wearing Six Masks In New York City’
DeSantis made his comments in Baker County, where he highlighted a $1,000 bonus the state granted public school employees.
“I think they sent, like, one of the corporate media outlets sent some reporter down,” DeSantis explained.
“They were trying to make fun of Baker, going, ‘Oh, these yokels are having kids go to school. How crazy are these people, right?’” the governor added.
DeSantis then said, “The crazy people are the ones that are vaccinated, still wearing six masks in New York City, I mean, to be honest with you.”
At the beginning of the pandemic, many criticized DeSantis for having more relaxed rules during the pandemic than a state like New York, where Gov. Andrew Cuomo had far greater restrictions. In hindsight, many believe Florida had the more successful policies, in terms of both overall COVID deaths and the amount of harm done to each state’s economy.

They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We have a Giving Fuel page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
