In an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19, President Joe Biden rolled out a series of new vaccine mandate requirements via executive action this week, including requirements for private businesses to ensure workers are vaccinated (or face weekly tests.)
Another Biden order will place additional fines on travelers who refuse to mask up. The White House laid out its mandate, writing:
“President Biden’s Executive Order, Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel, directed applicable agencies to take action to require mask-wearing in airports and on certain modes of public transportation, including on many airplanes, trains, maritime vessels, and intercity bus services.”
The new plan will double fines for those who refuse to mask up on the plane.
“TSA has extended its implementing orders for air and ground travel through January 18th, 2022, and the President’s plan will double fines for those who are not in compliance,” the White House said. “The President’s plan will also ensure that masking requirements remain in place on the other modes of transportation as we continue to battle COVID-19 .”
Biden referenced the new rule in his speech on Thursday.
“In addition to testing, we know masking helps stop the spread of COVID-19,” Biden said. That’s why when I came into office, I required masks for all federal buildings and on federal lands, on airlines, and other modes of transportation. Today — tonight, I’m announcing that the Transportation Safety Administration — the TSA — will double the fines on travelers that refuse to mask. If you break the rules, be prepared to pay.”

He went on to tell Americans to “show some respect” referring to the numerous incidents of aggressive passengers traveling via airlines in the last year .
“And, by the way, show some respect,” he added. “The anger you see on television toward flight attendants and others doing their job is wrong. It’s ugly.”

When I left my cushy corporate job in 2017, I did so knowing that my family would have to make sacrifices. But I couldn’t continue to watch the nation slip into oblivion and was inspired by President Trump’s willingness to fight the good fight even at his own personal expense. What I didn’t realize then is that conservative media would be so heavily attacked, canceled, and defunded that the sacrifices would be extreme.
Many in this nation are struggling right now even though we weren’t struggling just a few years ago. I’m not alone. But I wake up every morning and operate the sites we’ve been able to build because there’s really no other choice. I refuse to be beholden to Big Tech like so many other conservative news outlets, which is why you won’t see Google ads here. With that said, it’s often challenging to pay the bills and it’s even harder to expand so we can get the America First message out to a wider audience.
