Joe Biden issued a proclamation Thursday for the National Day of Prayer. Except he left somebody out of it. Namely, God. The late Congressman John Lewis gets a shout out. So does the “existential threat of climate change.” But not the Creator.
Biden does toss in a “Lord,” as in “the year of our Lord, two thousand twenty-one” proclamation template. But no reference to the Almighty, or His hand in the fortunes of this nation or beseeching His guidance.
He does talk about “the healing balm of prayer.” But to whom exactly should these prayers be directed?
The Healing Balm of Prayer
“Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements,” says Biden, “including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans.”
The self-proclaimed devout Catholic left off the prayerful fight to protect the unborn.
“Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation,” he says, before talking about how we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time, including the pandemic, a “reckoning on racial justice” (as in America’s systemically and fundamentally racist) and the “existential threat of climate change.” (We’re doomed.)
Avoiding scripture, he quotes Lewis instead, “Nothing can stop the power of a committed and determined people to make a difference in our society. Why? Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.”

We Often Feel Like David Taking on Giants
Today’s Goliath is the Mainstream Media Industrial Complex that brainwashes the masses.
Our mission is very straightforward: To counter the false narratives and nefarious agendas destroying America today. It isn’t easy for obvious reasons; despite incredible growth over the last year we are still a very tiny fish in a huge media pond. But we’re fighting and we will continue to do so, Lord willing, for as long as we possibly can. The battle for America’s present and future is too important for us to back down to the giants that stand in our way.
We need help. I don’t want to say “desperately,” but the need is definitely great. If you have the means, please donate through our GivingFuel page, PayPal, or our Substack page. Your generosity is what keeps these sites running and allows us to get the truth to the masses. We’ve had great success in growing but we know we can do more with your assistance.
Thank you, and God Bless!
