CNN’s Chris Cuomo railed against the Census Bureau on his show Monday with his guest Michael Smerconish and intimated that the agency is actively helping Republicans increase their numbers in Congress.
As mandated in the Constitution, the Census Bureau is tasked with tracking the nation’s population growth by state. It then appropriates the number of seats each state gets in the House of Representatives and that is directly connected to the Electoral College calculation. They stick to the numbers since they are part of the U.S. Federal Statistical System.
Cuomo seems to believe there is something nefarious going on rather than straight-up demographics. His on-screen headline read during the segment: “Census Shifts 3 House Seats from States Biden Won.” But that appears to be biased and not an entirely accurate picture of the seats that the Census Bureau just awarded.
“Did you hear about the Census Bureau and what the census is going to do? It’s going to shift some of the seats this Congress. It’s going to make a difference, especially for the left. The House is about to get real skinny real fast,” Cuomo warned his audience. The truth is that the Democrats already had a razor-thin advantage in the House. The census occurs every ten years and the shifting of seats is nothing new.
Cuomo proceeded to insinuate that the Census Bureau was deliberately taking away blue “states” from President Biden and the Democrats: “Of course, as you know, the Census Bureau uses its data to decide how many seats each state gets in the House of Representatives and their electors for the Electoral College. Biden, Democrat states, or the states that he won, they’re going to lose three states. Given that Democrats only have a 6-vote majority in the House, three states – three seats could matter. Right?” Cuomo asked.

The US Census Bureau announced Monday that the total population of the United States has topped 331 million people, marking the country’s second slowest population growth rate in US history. Amid that, Texas will gain two seats in the redistricting process, the results found.

Additionally, Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, and Oregon will each gain one seat in Congress.
California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia will all lose congressional seats ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
The CNN host introduced Smerconish and they began to rant about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. They ripped Republican support for police reform and did not allude to South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott’s bill on the matter. Cuomo then suggested that Republicans did not deserve as many seats as they have.

Most “Conservative” News Outlets Are on the Big Tech Teat
Not long ago, conservative media was not beholden to anyone. Today, most sites are stuck on the Big Tech gravy train.
I’ll keep this short. The rise of Pandemic Panic Theater, massive voter fraud, and other “taboo” topics have neutered a majority of conservative news sites. You’ll notice they are very careful about what topics they tackle. Sure, they’ll attack Critical Race Theory, Antifa, and the Biden-Harris regime, but you won’t see them going after George Soros, Bill Gates, the World Economic Forum, or the Deep State, among others.
The reason is simple. They are beholden to Big Tech, and Big Tech doesn’t allow certain topics to be discussed or they’ll cut you off. Far too many conservative news outlets rely on Google, Facebook, and Twitter for the bulk of their traffic. They depend on big checks from Google ads to keep the sites running. I don’t necessarily hold it against them. We all do what we need to do to survive. I just wish more would do like we have, which is to cut out Big Tech altogether.
We don’t get Google checks. We don’t have Facebook or Twitter buttons on our stories. We don’t have a YouTube Channel (banned), an Instagram profile (never made one), or a TikTok (no thanks, CCP). We’re not perfect, but we’re doing everything we can to not owe anything to anyone… other than our readers. We owe YOU the truth. We owe YOU the facts that others won’t reveal about topics that others won’t tackle. And we owe America, this great land that allows us to take hold of these opportunities.
Like I said, I don’t hold other conservative sites under too much scrutiny over their choices. It’s easy for people to point fingers when we’re not the ones paying their bills or supporting their families. I just wish there were more who would make the bold move. Today, only a handful of other major conservative news outlets have broken free from the Big Tech teat. Of course, we need help.
