Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, indicated that restrictions could be lifted by as early as the summer, as long as most Canadians are vaccinated by then.
She added that, for such a thing to happen, 75 percent of Canadians would have needed to have at least one dose of the vaccine, and 20 percent or more would have to have had a second dose.
According to the Toronto Star, these numbers come from the latest modelling data put out by the federal government.
Supposedly, restrictions that could possibly be lifted are those on workplaces and also on “other public settings”, such as theaters, bars, concert halls etc.
However, Dr. Tam did caution, “Even then, you have to be cautious, and not sort of lift everything. You’re going to lift things in stages and see what happens.”

Many in this nation are struggling right now even though we weren’t struggling just a few years ago. I’m not alone. But I wake up every morning and operate the sites we’ve been able to build because there’s really no other choice. I refuse to be beholden to Big Tech like so many other conservative news outlets, which is why you won’t see Google ads here. With that said, it’s often challenging to pay the bills and it’s even harder to expand so we can get the America First message out to a wider audience.
The economic downturn has forced me to make a plea for help. Between cancel culture, lockdowns, and diminishing ad revenue, we need financial assistance in order to continue to spread the truth.
